We will start from the beginning - Tension Squares, Different Methods of Casting On, Different Methods of Casting Off.

There will be not set format as that will be dictated by those present and what they would like to know how to do. 

It will be a 'hands on session' to demonstrate and 'have a go'

24^th September 2011- Welcome; Story of a ‘Dream Week’

Our Competition this year was Soft Furnishings which was then defined to be just for the Nursery as this is our Exhibition theme for 2011

The February meeting is always the AGM and this year, 2010, our chairperson Jeanette is standing down after 3 years.  We would like to thank her very much for all her hard work and wish her all the best for the future. 

One of the key elements of her term was to try and raise the profile of the Guild, we have made a start with this web site and this year for the first we will be holding workshops at the Knit & Stitch exhibition at the Kings Hall, Belfast

Decorative Techniques Workshop

In December 2009 we flew to Auckland, New Zealand to visit my brother and his family for almost four weeks. As those who know me can testify, I am a knitting obsessive, so for months before we went I researched yarns, knitting and knitting groups in New Zealand. Well, can you imagine a month with no knitting?

Saturday 23 January.  In our afternoon session, the ladies who had submitted items in our Jewellery competition explained just how they were made and the winner was announced.
